Scholarships

Over its life, the Foundation will award millions in scholarship money to deserving high school students.

Scholarships are based on positive leadership and character exhibited in both school and community activities. A scholarship selection committee of the HomeStar Education Foundation, Inc. will administer the application and selection process for the scholarships.

Following are the details on each of the scholarships we offer:

HomeStar Customer Scholarship

The HomeStar Education Foundation annually awards academic scholarships to the children or grandchildren of HomeStar Bank & Financial Services, HomeStar Investment Services, HomeStar Insurance Services, or HomeStar Trust Services Customers. The Scholarship program helps graduating high school seniors continue their education at a university, college, trade or vocational school.

The application deadline for the HomeStar Customer Scholarship has passed for this school year. Applications for the 2019-2020 School year will be available Fall 2019.
 

HomeStar NAACP Scholarship

The HomeStar Education Foundation and the Kankakee County branch of the National Associaction for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) have partnered to help graduating high school seniors continue their education by establishing the HomeStar-NAACP Scholarship Program.

The application deadline for the NAACP Scholarship has passed for this school year. Applications for the 2019-2020 School year will be available Fall 2019.

HomeStar Kankakee County Hispanic Partnership Scholarship

The HomeStar Education Foundation and the Hispanic Partnership of Kankakee County have partnered to help graduating high school seniors continue their education by establishing the HomeStar-Hispalnic Partnership Scholarship Program. 

The application deadline for the Kankakee County Hispanic Partnership Scholarship has passed for this school year. Applications for the 2019-2020 School year will be available Fall 2019.
